Senior AV Design Engineer

Location: Valhalla / Westchester County, NY

Salary: $130,000–$135,000

Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

The Opportunity

A well-established, high-end Audio Visual integration firm is looking to add a Senior AV Design Engineer to its growing engineering team in Westchester County, New York.

The company delivers sophisticated AV and technology systems across luxury residential and commercial environments, with individual projects ranging from several hundred thousand dollars into the multi-million-dollar range.

This is a hands-on technical engineering position for someone who understands how complex AV systems are designed, integrated, commissioned and supported in the real world.

The business operates as a Crestron-focused environment, so strong experience with Crestron-based systems is particularly valuable.

Responsibilities

  Design and engineer complex Audio Visual systems from concept through implementation

  Develop system architecture, signal flow and technical solutions

  
  


• 
  

  Specify AV equipment and supporting infrastructure

  
  


• 
  

  Provide technical support to project, installation and service teams

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with system commissioning, troubleshooting and final delivery

  
  


• 
  

  Review drawings and engineering documentation for technical accuracy

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with senior engineering and operational leadership

  
  


• 
  

  Resolve complex technical issues across active projects and installed systems

  
  


• 
  

  Support both high-end residential and commercial AV environments

  
  


• 
  

  Occasionally visit project sites throughout the New York City region

  
  


• 
  

  Provide technical support for projects in other regional offices as required

  
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  

  Approximately 5+ years of professional AV engineering/design experience

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of professional AV system architecture and integration

  
  


• 
  

  Strong Crestron knowledge

  
  


• 
  

  Experience designing and supporting integrated AV systems

  
  


• 
  

  Strong troubleshooting and commissioning capabilities

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently on technically complex projects

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working alongside installation, project management and service teams

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable supporting projects from initial engineering through final commissioning

  
  


• 
  

  High-end residential experience is beneficial but not essential

  
  


• 
  

  Commercial AV experience strongly considered

  
  

This position is primarily focused on technical AV engineering, allowing the successful candidate to concentrate on system design, technical problem-solving, commissioning and engineering support.
