Senior BIM Technician | MEP Design

Charlotte, NC | $80,000–$110,000, based on experience

Want to see the buildings you model come to life? I’m recruiting a Senior BIM Technician for a global engineering consulting firm whose teams design complex, high-profile buildings. You’ll work alongside mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, solve real coordination challenges, and help deliver projects that leave a lasting mark.

This team pairs ambitious work with a fun, supportive office culture. The schedule is Monday through Thursday in the office for nine hours a day, then four hours working from home on Friday. You get a head start on every weekend, all year long.

What you’ll do

• 
  

  Create and update MEP plans, diagrams, schedules, and models in Revit and AutoCAD.

  
  


• 
  

  Turn engineer and designer redlines into accurate, submission-ready drawings.

  
  


• 
  

  Review models and resolve coordination issues using Revit and Navisworks.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare architectural files for MEP design and troubleshoot file and model issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist designers and engineers with layouts, drafting, and calculations.

  
  


• 
  

  Support Revit templates, family creation, project setup, and other team members as needed.

  
  


• 
  

  Help maintain BIM standards and prepare projects for client submissions.

  
  

What you bring

• 
  

  7+ years in a CAD/BIM role with an MEP firm and strong Revit MEP and AutoCAD experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with at least one building systems discipline: mechanical, electrical, or plumbing.

  
  


• 
  

  The ability to read floor plans, sections, elevations, and redlines.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing files, keeping drawings organized, and meeting project deadlines.

  
  


• 
  

  Clear communication and a willingness to help others solve problems.

  
  


• 
  

  An associate’s degree, trade school training, or equivalent formal training.
