Location: Latham, NY Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; eligible for a hybrid schedule following the training period, up to 2 days per week. Compensation: Starting pay is $80,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience
The Senior Business Loan Analyst supports Sunmark's Business Services (Commercial Lending) team by analyzing financial information, preparing credit memorandums, supporting commercial loan underwriting, and helping maintain strong portfolio credit quality.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze financial and non-financial data to underwrite commercial loan requests and prepare clear, well-supported credit recommendations.
Prepare credit memorandums, loan reviews, annual reviews, covenant monitoring, and related financial analysis in accordance with Credit Union policies.
Partner with Loan Officers, members, management, and internal teams to support commercial loan structuring, risk assessment, and credit decisions.
Monitor portfolio quality by evaluating risk ratings, credit relationships, asset quality, and compliance with lending standards and regulations.
Prepare reporting, documentation updates, and written recommendations for amendments, waivers, and other changes to existing credit files.
Support business member meetings, site visits, department projects, and backup responsibilities for lending systems and portfolio analysis functions.
What We’re Looking For
Bring at least five years of credit analysis experience, ideally with commercial loan underwriting and processing across a variety of business loan types.
Strong financial analysis skills to evaluate portfolio performance, assess risk, and prepare clear, thoughtful credit recommendations.
Thrive in a detail-oriented role where organization, sound judgment, problem-solving, and deadline management are essential.
High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
