Starting Salary: $16.30–$17.83 (depending on experience)

About this Position
The Senior Center Program Coordinator helps develop, implement, direct, supervise, and participate in quality programs, activities, and events for senior citizens at the Edmond Senior Center. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee the daily operation of assigned activities, programs, and events
Help research, develop, and implement activities, programs, events, and services
Work with the Manager of the Senior Center to plan and schedule programs/events
Operate multiple computer software programs including recreation management software
Assist with preparing advertising and marketing materials
Greet newcomers, conduct tours, answer questions, and help patrons
Develop and maintain a volunteer program
Drive the Senior Center's vehicle for various programs/events
Obtain current First Aid and CPR training within ninety (90) days
Obtain a Fitness Training Certification and/or a Food Handlers Certification within six (6) months
Attend the vehicle accident prevention course
Necessary Skills
Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
