We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join an established and growing mechanical services team in Charlotte. What You’ll Do
As a Senior HVAC Service Technician, you will provide expert-level service, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for commercial and industrial HVAC systems throughout the Charlotte market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system performance testing.
- Work with condenser water systems, cooling towers, water-cooled chillers, pumps, and associated commercial HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Identify equipment or system issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Communicate professionally with customers and serve as a trusted technical resource.
- Complete service reports, work orders, warranty documentation, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Collaborate with other technicians, operations, sales, and project teams as needed.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced technicians.
- Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, and customer service.
What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- Previous hands-on experience with condenser water systems is required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
- Experience with equipment such as cooling towers, water-cooled chillers, condenser water loops, and pumps highly preferred.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a larger service team.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Safety-focused approach to all service and maintenance work.
