Job Description - Senior Commercial Segment Support Analyst

Overview:

This position will be responsible for providing an advanced level of support to the Commercial Segment support team, working across several simultaneous projects/programs by strategic and analytical support and guidance, as well as presenting recommendations for strategic action across the Commercial Bank.  Represent department in cross functional, high visibility projects involving business partners outside of the department. Responsible for streamlining ongoing activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continually implement Commercial Bank Segment Support Strategy, helping to align department roles and responsibilities and to drive adoption across organization.
  • Maintain a working understanding of the Commercial Bank organization, including key initiatives and projects currently underway.
  • Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect the business/department.
  • Directly impact Commercial Bank strategic direction designing analysis to further Commercial Bank strategies as directed by managers. 
  • Coordinate within department on necessary data needs and perform analysis as needed.
  • Support execution on Commercial Bank strategic priorities and projects.
  • Participate / take a lead role in collaboration with internal partners on behalf of Commercial Segment Support team; includes development in support of Commercial Bank strategy, projects and initiatives, develop partnership with other departments as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement of existing processes and/or the development of new processes.
  • Identify resources that can be utilized to support business operations or improve existing business processes.
  • Provide input and recommendations to management.
  • Perform complex analysis and judgment based work to derive meaningful insights and professionally communicate those insights to management and business partners.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years' related business line experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience

Good knowledge of concepts within discipline and basic knowledge of others

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $62,200.00 - $103,600.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
