Senior Data Modeler

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Modeler with strong experience designing enterprise data models within the mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will bring recent hands-on MongoDB experience, deep knowledge of mortgage data, and the ability to lead data modeling initiatives while partnering with business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical enterprise data models


• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions


• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence


• Design and maintain data models within MongoDB and enterprise database environments


• Support data governance, data quality, and enterprise data architecture initiatives


• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions


• Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and promote data modeling best practices


• Drive architecture discussions and recommend improvements to enterprise data platforms

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in data modeling and database design


• Recent hands-on experience with MongoDB in current or recent roles


• Strong SQL and database performance optimization experience


• Recent mortgage domain experience is required


• Experience supporting Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, or similar mortgage organizations is highly preferred


• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and enterprise data governance


• Proven ability to think independently, solve complex problems, and lead technical discussions


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
