What You'll Do
The Senior Director for Information Technology (IT) is responsible for providing strategic leadership, supervision, and technical direction for IT Enterprise Applications, IT Infrastructure, IT Business Operations, and IT Service Management within Information Technology.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensures alignment with organizational goals, policies, and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) mission for Pantex.
- Establishes organizational procedures, policies, and strategy
- Manages and ensures all budget targets, schedules, staffing, and performance standards are met across all areas.
- Works enterprise-level issues to assist with strategic plans and initiatives, partnering with senior management and external stakeholders to achieve enterprise-level goals.
- Works closely with Cyber Security to ensure controls are in place for the protection of IT assets.
The candidate will have previous leadership experience with demonstrated results and outstanding people skills, with the ability to energize, organize, and lead groups of IT personnel. As a manager at a senior level, must possess the ability to develop comprehensive strategies for implementation of subject; the ability to effectively communicate and structure messages to achieve end strategy; and the ability to maintain cognizance of the team progress along with necessary adjustments is required. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively motivate and manage personnel, coordinate, and resolve technical issues with peer managers, and engage other organizations as necessary. The ability to present complex data and other material to senior leadership is imperative. The candidate will demonstrate an ability to lead under and propane a culture defined in The Pantex Way outcomes: Mission Delivery, Operational Excellence, and Pantex Citizen. On-site colocation with direct reports and coordination with management and organization interfaces is required.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 15 years relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory/management experience.
- OR applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 23 years of completed education and/or relevant experience

Preferred Job Requirements
- Advanced Degree in information technology, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership of various IT disciplines and enterprise-wide teams within the Nuclear Security Enterprise.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise products and platforms, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles, awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement (ADKAR) communication, software development processes and methodologies, Agile principles, and SCRUM processes.
- Strong familiarity with Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Cyber Security program and requirements, and specific knowledge of Federal cyber security and risk management requirements with an emphasis on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (i.e., 800-53).
- Experience managing services in a classified or highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge and experience of ITIL and Service Management processes (e.g., incident, problem, change management) and how to integrate them to improve service delivery.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
