Senior Enterprise Architect AMI Modernization

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to support a major AMI
modernization initiative. This role defines end‑to‑end architecture across SaaS
and cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with long‑term business priorities,
compliance requirements, and operational readiness. You’ll partner with
vendors, system integrators, and internal teams to shape architecture strategy,
integration patterns, data design, and deployment planning.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate SaaS
  vs. cloud deployment models for security, resiliency, and integration
  impacts
  
• Review
  integration requirements, dependencies, and vendor/SI deliverables
  
• Support data
  architecture design including models, mappings, and canonical structures
  
• Develop
  enterprise architecture blueprints and long‑term roadmaps
  
• Lead cross‑functional
  teams implementing complex architecture solutions
  
• Establish
  architecture governance, standards, and review boards
  
• Negotiate
  technology solutions and integration patterns with vendors
  
• Advise senior
  leadership on architecture trends and investment priorities
  
• Oversee risk
  management and compliance for architecture programs
  

Requirements

Experience:

• 10+ years of
  related experience.
  
• Preferred: 5+
  years as an architect with AWS cloud solutions, integration architecture,
  vendor/SI delivery, and SAP/CIS integration touchpoints.
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to
  align systems architecture with long‑term business and technology
  strategy.
  
• Ability to
  define architecture standards, reference models, and best practices.
  
• Ability to
  influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
  
• Expert
  knowledge of IT systems architecture across multiple domains.
  
• Knowledge of
  emerging infrastructure and platform technologies.
  
• Skill in
  solving complex cross‑platform architecture challenges.
  
• Preferred:
  Experience with REST APIs, event‑driven architectures, message‑based
  integration, and secure data exchange.
  
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of utility metering, MDMS, head‑end systems, or enterprise
  asset/customer system integration.
  
• Preferred: AWS
  cloud design patterns supporting vendor SaaS or cloud‑hosted AMI
  solutions.
  
• Preferred: AWS
  cloud architecture certification.
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s
  degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  
• Preferred:
  Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CIS, or related
  technical discipline.
