Position Overview

The Senior Fund Accountant – Client Onboarding Team will be responsible for leading key workstreams in the onboarding and historical data migration of new clients, with ownership of more complex reconciliations and conversions. This role involves preparing and self-reviewing financial data, validating imported information, and guiding fund accountants through day-to-day execution of assigned transition tasks. The position offers increased ownership of accounting workstreams, exposure to process improvement, and a bridge toward review and supervisory responsibilities in a project-based environment.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

• Convert and reconcile historical accounting data from prior administrators or systems, including more complex or higher-risk fund and entity conversions


• Perform and self-review trial balance, capital account, and transaction reconciliations, ensuring accuracy prior to supervisor review


• Lead the setup and validation of funds, entity, and investor information in Gen II’s accounting systems


• Prepare and quality-check supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial statement tie-outs, including partner capital account information


• Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for reconciliation and data issues, escalating complex items to the Supervisor as needed


• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to fund accountants, reviewing their work as assigned


• Maintain and monitor transition checklists, ensuring timely completion of deliverables across assigned clients

Job Requirements, Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred


• 2 years of fund accounting or fund administration experience, preferably in private equity; prior transition, conversion, or onboarding experience preferred


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel


• Working knowledge of private-equity fund structures, allocations, and partner capital accounting


• Experience with fund accounting systems (Intacct, Investran, Allvue, etc.) preferred


• Effective communication and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
