Job Overview

Join Penguin Solutions as our Senior Global Event Marketing Manager and lead our event strategy and the delivery of compelling customer experiences through a coordinated global event program. You will own branded in-person and virtual customer events and be responsible for planning and executing marketing-led events primarily in the Americas. You will also serve as a strategic resource to Sales and Field Marketing teams in EMEA and APJ, providing guidance, best practices, and tools to help them deliver equally successful local events.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, highly organized event marketing marketer who can connect event execution to broader marketing and business objectives while managing multiple programs and working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute targeted events that create compelling customer experiences to reinforce Penguin’s brand and value proposition.


• Develop event strategies, budgets, timelines, and integrated pre-, during-, and post-event programs aligned to marketing and sales objectives.


• Own end-to-end planning and execution of Americas events, including conferences, sponsorships, customer events, executive programs, and strategic activations.


• Partner with Sales, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Communications, Brand, and regional teams to maximize event awareness, engagement, and pipeline impact.


• Manage event logistics, vendors, agencies, sponsorships, contracts, registration, and onsite execution.


• Lead venue research, including site visits as required, as well as vendor evaluation and selection, including the negotiation of favorable contracts.


• Serve as the strategic advisor, providing best practices, tools, and guidance to EMEA and APJ teams managing local execution; travel to select international events as needed.


• Establish global event processes, standards, governance, and measurement, ensuring a consistent Penguin brand and event experience across all regions.


• Evaluate the global event landscape and emerging opportunities to recommend which events Penguin should enter, scale, sustain, or exit.


• Measure event performance and ROI, using insights to optimize the event portfolio and inform future investments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of B2B event marketing supporting high-touch sales motions.


• Proven experience managing events from strategy through execution.


• Strong project management, organizational, and budget management skills.


• Experience and comfort working with executives, sales, marketing, vendors, and cross-functional teams.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Analytical mindset with experience measuring event performance and business impact.


• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.


• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred.


• Experience in technology, AI, cloud, data center, or enterprise marketing is highly desirable.

Location

This is a remote role in the United States.

Travel

Travel is required, including domestic and occasional international travel to support Americas, EMEA, and other global events as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $128,000 - $159,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
