Senior Industrial Engineer

Our client is seeking a talented, self-motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to join its energetic, fast-paced team in Nashville, Tennessee.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Conduct process analysis to discover any barriers to productivity and recommend and implement solutions
• Use method analysis to determine best practices for safety, ergonomics and fatigue factors
• Document a breakdown of job tasks for use in training materials and standard operational procedures
• Conduct work measurement to determine the time needed to perform accepted methods
• In conjunction with management, create and implement companywide standards
• Oversee a labor management system
• Budgeting
• Ensure quality standards are being met

Required skills and knowledge:

• Complete knowledge of work measurement activities, such as time study, methods time measurement, labor management systems, universal standard data and master standard data
  
• Knowledge of distribution processes
• Desire to work in an environment that relies on a systematic, data-oriented approach to managing people and positive reinforcement as a performance maximizer
• Solid understanding of warehouse management inventory systems
• Excellent computer, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills
• ’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required
• At least 4 of warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to conduct extended studies and research in a fast-paced, non-air-conditioned distribution center with exposure to dust and noise
• Some travel required
