Candidates must have 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably involving complex civil litigation, along with a J.D. and active Missouri Bar membership or eligibility for prompt admission. Judicial clerkship and trial experience are highly valued but not required.

Job Description

• Manage complex litigation matters from initial case strategy through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other court filings.
• Take and defend depositions, oversee discovery, and work with witnesses and experts.
• Develop litigation strategies alongside partners and clients.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and provide practical, strategic guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and help mentor junior attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant litigation experience, ideally involving complex civil or criminal matters.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and Missouri Bar admission or eligibility for prompt admission.
• Strong legal writing, motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases, deadlines, and client relationships.
• Judicial clerkship, trial, or arbitration experience is a plus.

• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role): 
• 4 or 5 years: $160K to $168K; 
• 6 years: $168K to $175K; 
• 7+ years: $175K to $180K.
