Senior Litigation Associate Wage & Hour

We are looking for a Litigation Associate with 7–15 years of experience to join a nationally respected plaintiff-side wage-and-hour boutique in Houston. You'll handle substantive litigation - depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial work - directly alongside the firm's two named Partners on complex class and collective actions representing workers across the country.

What will you be doing?

  Handling depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial work alongside a Partner

  
  


• 
  

  Drafting and managing written discovery, motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence

  
  


• 
  

  Running active case management across a nationwide docket of FLSA class/collective actions

  
  


• 
  

  Participating in settlement negotiations and mediation

  
  


• 
  

  Mentoring junior attorneys and the firm's recently expanded briefing team

  
  

Key Requirements

• 
  

  5–15 years of litigation experience with significant deposition and in-court advocacy

  
  


• 
  

  Has taken multiple high level, difficult depositions, such as corporate representative, expert, lawyer, and apex depositions

  
  


• 
  

  Has argued multiple dispositive motions, such as summary judgment, class certification, and motions to dismiss

  
  


• 
  

  Has played an active role in developing a disputed record, including compelling documents through discovery motions and running investigations that changed the direction of a case

  
  


• 
  

  Must be based in Houston, TX and work fully on-site (hard filter — no remote)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong live presentation and communication skills — must interview well in person with both Partners

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with class or collective action litigation (plaintiff or defense side)

  
  


• 
  

  JD from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing
