Monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms. Preparing quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes.\n\n## This role in summary\n\nWe\u0027re looking for a Senior Manager of Quality to lead and oversee all quality assurance and control activities at our Clyde, OH manufacturing plant. You\u0027ll be responsible for developing,implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system (QMS) that ensures our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards. This role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes,and a passion for continuous improvement. \n\n## Your responsibilities will include\n\n * Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and manage the plant\u0027s QMS, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.\n * Drive continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures leveraging and implementing the World Class Manufacturing system.\n * Partner cross functionally with MFG operations, category business team, and design engineering to develop project plans to achieve internal and external quality targets; 12MIS, 1MIS, and CAL.\n * Have the technical competency to collaborate with design and process engineering in understanding, implementing and ensuring a flawless execution of Design for Assembly / Design for\n * Manufacturing requirements during new product introduction and ownership related to the ongoing monitoring / audit of the established DFA (Design for Assembly) / DFM (Design For Manufacturing) requirements. \n * Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, develop, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and excellence throughout the organization.\n * Compliance \u0026 Audits: Ensure the plant complies with all internal, external, and regulatory quality standards. Manage and participate in internal and external quality audits. \n * Quality Control \u0026 Assurance: Oversee all quality control activities, including incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing. Establish and maintain product specifications and quality standards. \n * Root Cause Analysis (RCA) \u0026 Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence. \n * Data Analysis \u0026 Reporting: Use statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis tools to monitor key quality metrics. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management. \n * Supplier Quality: Collaborate with the Supplier Quality team to ensure our suppliers meet our quality standards. \n * Training: Develop and deliver quality training programs for all plant personnel to enhance quality awareness and skills. \n\n\n\n## Minimum requirements\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. \n * Proven experience in implementing and managing a QMS (e.g., ISO 9001). \n * Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, 8D problem-solving). \n * 3+ years of combined experience in a manufacturing Quality environment\n * Excellent written and verbal communication skills required\n\n\n\n## Preferred skills and experiences\n\n * 7+ years of combined experience in a manufacturing Quality environment\n * Proven experience in large, complex plant environment\n * World Class manufacturing (WCM) and Lean Manufacturing Methods experience\n * Six Sigma / Shainin Black Belt certification is highly desirable.\n * Communication and support to 24-hour / day assembly processes\n\n\n\n## Additional information\n\nWhirlpool\u2019s Ways of Working\n\nOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
