Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Technical Product Mgmt leads the technical product strategy and roadmap for the software products that support WFS. This role provides senior leadership over one or more Agile product teams, sets the technical and functional vision for multiple systems and serves as the primary point of engagement between IT and internal business customers. The Director is accountable for product strategy, software vendor management, and the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical product strategy and roadmap for systems across the Americas region, ensuring alignment with corporate and regional business objectives, strategy and direction


• Serve as the primary point of engagement for internal customers, translating business needs into requirements, user stories, and a prioritized product roadmap.


• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Product Managers, Product Owners, and Agile delivery teams, driving alignment between product vision and execution.


• Own software vendor management, including contract negotiations, renewals, SLAs, and vendor performance reviews.


• Partner with leadership to evaluate, select, and implement technologies


• Oversee integration strategy


• Ensure requirements are fully understood by developers, quality assurance, and operations, and that implementation plans match business expectations.


• Provide vision and direction to development teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.


• Work with third parties to map out integration plans and evaluate technology options.


• Understand, research, and follow technical and industry trends relevant to business and operations.


• Assess and address technical and vendor risk across the regional product portfolio.


• Define success criteria for testing, product acceptance, and go-live readiness.


• Facilitate the creation and maintenance of product documentation and governance standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.


• Minimum of years of experience in technical product management, including at least 3+ years in a people leadership or director-level role.


• Strong track record of shaping business strategy and aligning software teams and senior leadership around the product vision at a regional or enterprise scale.


• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP ECC, R/3, or S/4HANA, or Microsoft Dynamics for Finance, preferred.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, with advanced expertise in Excel.


• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools such as OneStream, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan preferred.


• Demonstrated experience with software vendor management, including contract negotiation and vendor performance management.


• Experience in the cargo, airline, or warehouse management industry desired.


• Experience with writing business/functional requirements and implementing Agile methodologies.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.


• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.


• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.


• Walk short distances.


• Reach above and/or below shoulder.


• Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.


• Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.


• Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.


• Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
