Senior Manager - Transformation Assurance, Financial Crimes and Compliance

We are committed to growing our audit staff significantly as we continue to expand and enhance the Internal Audit Group. Our assurance and risk professionals have diverse backgrounds including internal controls, consumer compliance, technology, operational risk, financial accounting, data analytics, and banking operations. Our audit teams align to key risk areas and business units to ensure IAG can provide comprehensive and risk-based audit coverage. In addition, IAG has a Professional Practices group responsible for managing audit operations, quality, and standards; regulatory relations; reporting; training and professional development; and key internal capabilities and technologies.

The Senior Manager, Transformation Assurance role is within the IAG Remediation and Transformation Assurance team, which is part of the broader IAG Financial Crime, Compliance, and Privacy audit portfolio. The role will be based in New York (United States) and will organizationally report into the Vice President – Remediation and Transformation located in London.

The role will be responsible for providing independent oversight and challenge to management transformation efforts arising from internal audit findings, regulatory matters, IAG special reviews and other change impacting portfolios.

• Lead ongoing engagement routines with Business Audit Management teams to ensure alignment on transformation remediation priorities, issue resolution strategies, delivery expectations, and closure readiness.
• Conduct recurring portfolio-level governance and status discussions to monitor transformation remediation progress, dependencies, execution risks, and escalation needs.
• Work functionally under Director, Remediation and Transformation Assurance to ensure alignment on priorities across BAU and transformation remediation.
• Partner closely with Audit Leads (ALs), portfolio leadership, and transformation remediation owners to maintain alignment on resource capacity, validation timing, and delivery commitments.
• Provide regular updates to Internal Audit leadership regarding portfolio health, remediation progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), execution risks, and transformation initiatives.
• Promote consistency in “definition of done” standards, validation criteria, closure requirements, and assurance methodologies across portfolios.
• Facilitate cross-portfolio sharing of lessons learned, best practices, thematic insights, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships across Internal Audit, Compliance, Financial Crime, Privacy, and business stakeholders to enable effective challenge while fostering collaborative issue resolution.
• Demonstrates strong partnership and stakeholder engagement capabilities across the organization.
• Drives alignment, transparency, and accountability across multiple remediation portfolios and teams.
• Champions operational excellence and continuous improvement through collaboration and governance discipline.

• Fluent understanding and experience with audit methodology within internal/external audit, including independently leading audit work streams.
• Understanding of change, transformation, regulatory, and financial industry best practices relevant to the business, including technology and data implications. 
• Proven experience leading complex transformation remediation assurance or validation activities for regulatory matters and high-risk audit findings.
• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, governance structures, and enterprise issue management disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders across business and control functions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentation capabilities.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
