The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Engineer at LRS Federal, you’ll play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of federal facility projects that impact communities and support national missions. This is not your average design job—here, your work will shape outcomes for clients whose standards and expectations are among the highest in the industry.

What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced mechanical engineering design services for a range of federal facility projects


• Lead and coordinate design-build projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams


• Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations


• Ensure all designs meet rigorous federal standards, codes, and client requirements


• Drive innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle


• Mentor junior staff and support project management as needed

What We’re Looking For

• At least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with substantial exposure to federal projects


• Demonstrated success leading design-build projects (this is a must)


• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a strong plus, but not required


• Deep understanding of federal standards, codes, and project delivery methods


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
