Pavement Maintenance Group is seeking a Senior Plant Accountant who enjoys working across a wide range of accounting and operational activities-from financial reporting and cost accounting to inventory and day-to-day plant support.
This role is well-suited for someone with several years of progressive accounting experience who is looking to expand their skillset and take on a broader scope, while also being a strong fit for experienced professionals who prefer a well-rounded, plant-focused role with meaningful day-to-day impact.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with operations leadership and be involved in the full accounting cycle, contributing to both financial accuracy and operational decision-making.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll be a key financial partner to our plant team, owning and supporting a wide range of accounting functions, including:
Managing monthly financial close and reporting to accurately reflect plant performance
Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliations
Supporting inventory tracking, cycle counts, and cost accuracy
Maintaining fixed assets and financial records
Assisting with pricing, margin analysis, and operational decision-making
Partnering with operations and sales teams to improve financial visibility
Supporting audits, compliance, and process improvements
Reviewing timecards and coordinating with payroll on regional submissions
Identifying opportunities to strengthen systems, controls, and efficiency

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant experience
Several years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, or plant/operational environments
A strong accounting foundation with the ability to learn, take ownership, and grow into a broad plant-focused role
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data and ERP systems
A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work independently
Someone who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
