This position is full-time on-site and offers the 9/80 Schedule.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll get to Do:\n\nThe Senior Principal Contract Administrator will support contract administration for the Advanced Radar Systems (ARS) Operating Unit within the Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division. This position reports to the ARS Operating Unit Contracts Manager.\n\nThe Senior Principal Contract Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n * Act as a primary interface with customer for contractual issues; Monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.\n\n * Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.\n\n * Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.\n\n * Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.\n\n * Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.\n\n * Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.\n\n * Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.\n\n * Enter and maintain contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System\n\n * Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs) and submission of invoices.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree plus 8 years of related experience or a Master\u2019s degree plus 6 years of related experience.\n\n * Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.\n\n * Experience using MS Office Suite, specifically Excel\n\n * Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or commercial clauses\n\n * Experience working with US Government customers\n\n * Contract administration experience in the defense industry\n\n * Experience simplifying complex topics for audiences of differing expertise and seniority, in both verbal and written communication\n\n * U.S. Citizenship required\n\n * A current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.\n\n * The ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)\n\n * The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience using 1ERP\n\n * Prior experience negotiating contracts\n\n * Current, active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You \n\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
