About the Role
We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join a rapidly growing residential development company in Austin. This is a fast-paced, vertically integrated operation with its own design, development, procurement, and warehousing capabilities.
This person will take ownership of the business side of the projects, working closely with the ownership team and field operations to ensure projects stay on budget and schedule.
What You'll Do
Manage budgets and job costs across a large portfolio of active projects
Review committed costs, invoices, and monthly budget reconciliations
Prepare accurate cost-to-complete and financial projections
Establish and maintain CPM schedules across multiple projects
Monitor project progress and provide clear visibility into budget and schedule performance
Review and validate budgets for new projects before construction begins
Support procurement and purchasing decisions
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve project performance
Work closely with field leadership, accounting, purchasing, design, and ownership
Conduct job site visits and stay connected to project execution
Help implement and improve project management systems and processes
Build scalable processes as the company continues to grow
What We're Looking For
10+ years of construction/project management experience
Strong commercial, multifamily, or similar ground-up construction experience
Strong understanding of budgets, job costing, scheduling, and financial reporting
Experience with cost-to-complete forecasting and committed-cost tracking
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly
Someone who is hands-on and willing to dig into the details
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Austin-based and able to work full-time in the Austin market
Why This Role
This is a unique opportunity to bring commercial construction discipline into a rapidly scaling residential development business. You'll have significant visibility with ownership, the opportunity to help shape how projects are managed, and the potential to build a project management team as the company grows.
