Senior Project Manager – Mechanical Construction

I’m recruiting a Senior Project Manager for one of the Southeast’s leading commercial mechanical contractors. This is an opportunity to lead complex projects across the Triangle with a company known for its people, technical capabilities, and collaborative culture.

One project may bring a challenging mechanical piping installation; the next may call for close coordination across sheet metal, HVAC equipment, fabrication, and building systems. If you like solving problems, leading strong field teams, and seeing the results of your work take shape, you’ll have plenty to dig into here.

What you’ll own

• 
  

  Lead mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout.

  
  


• 
  

  Be the primary point of contact for general contractors and customers.

  
  


• 
  

  Build and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, purchasing, and project plans.

  
  


• 
  

  Support field supervision and coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and other internal teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage subcontractors and vendors while keeping costs and commitments on track.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor productivity, prepare project updates, and tackle issues before they grow.

  
  


• 
  

  Deliver thorough closeout documentation and warranty coverage.

  
  

What you bring

• 
  

  5+ years managing mechanical construction projects involving mechanical piping, sheet metal, and HVAC equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  A track record of successfully leading large projects and field teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Confidence reading plans, specifications, and project documents.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong judgment with budgets, schedules, customer relationships, and problem-solving.

  
  


• 
  

  A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

  
  

A bachelor’s degree or relevant technical, college, or military education is preferred. Travel may be required up to 20%.
