Senior React Developer

Position Overview

Bobyard is growing uncomfortably fast. Demand is exploding. Our infrastructure needs to 10x while we ship 10x more product. No time for ticket-jockeys.

You’ll have founder-level autonomy to design, execute, and iterate. We move at startup speed — no committees, no politics. You’ll become the world’s leading expert on the products you own and the systems that power them. We want world-class senior engineers with product taste and the ability to go heads down and ship exceptional code.

Responsibilities

• Own the full stack: React, Django, PostgreSQL. You set the standard, you ship it, you scale it.

• Design and scale: Backend APIs, data models, and infra that won’t break when usage 100x’s overnight. Make the hard architecture calls.

• Frontend craft: Architecture, performance, UX. Our UI can’t feel like enterprise software. Make it feel like smooth — and enforce that bar.

• Ship with conviction: Partner with product, CV, and design to launch cohesive features users can’t live without. Drive technical roadmap.

• Run production: AWS, GCP, Heroku. Deploy it, monitor it, debug it, make it bulletproof. Set up the systems so others don’t have to firefight.

• Move fast & level up the team: Prototype in days, iterate with real customers. Mentor, review code, and raise the engineering bar across the org.

• Product engineer: You care why we’re building, not just how. You have taste. You argue for the user and kill scope creep.

• World-class fundamentals: Web architecture, system design, performance. You’ve scaled things to millions of users and know where it breaks.

• Full-stack leader: Frontend to backend to infra. No “that’s not my job.” You own the outcome and unblock others.

• Learning machine: New framework on Monday, shipping it Friday. You’re resourceful and relentless on hard problems.

• Startup work ethic: This isn’t a cushy big-tech role. We’re at war with legacy software in a $13T industry. You want that.

• Organized under fire: 10 parallel workstreams, production fire, and a new feature launch. You prioritize, delegate, and execute.
