Senior Specialist- Content Creator

SUMMARY:

Addition Financial Credit Union is seeking a motivated, creative, collaborative self-starter who is a strategic thinker with a passion for telling stories and the world of social media.

The Senior Specialist – Content Creator is responsible for developing and capturing the story of Addition Financial Credit Union via video and photography in a strategic way to maximize our exposure on our owned social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and X. Duties will include pitching story ideas, scheduling shoots, filming and photographing the story or event, editing and posting and promoting on social media. This role will also include the management of all content on our social media accounts as well as staying on top of the latest trends. It will also include monitoring and responding to all of Addition Financial’s social media channels as well.

This role includes developing a social media calendar that will showcase all the different areas of Addition Financial, including team member culture, philanthropic endeavors and our work in the community. They will also be developing public relation campaigns for credit union initiatives and planning different events, including, but not limited to, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, Addition Financial Foundation event, etc.

The ideal candidate will also be comfortable in front of the camera and as a representative of the credit union on our social media pages. They also must be a strong writer for short form, social and scripted content.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Find and pitch story ideas that will help garner reach and engagement on our social media channels for the credit union.


• Film and edit video content and strategically place it in the appropriate channels for maximum exposure and engagement.


• Knowledge of professional video, photography and studio equipment and editing software.


• Develop a social media content calendar and execute the video content strategy, produce video content, and engage in the community in order to grow Addition Financial’s social media presence.


• Monitor comments and direct messages and respond when appropriate.


• Report on social media performance.


• Adapt quickly to changing trends and algorithms.


• Work with other departments collaboratively to find ways to promote the credit union.


• Develop relationships with credit union partners to share our stories on our channels.


• Create and manage PR campaigns to promote strategic goals for the organization.


• Provide video and photography to media outlets for use.


• Manage or help coordinate credit union events.


• Provide media and public speaking training as needed for executives and team members.


• And other department wide projects and tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Business or a related field or the equivalent 2-3 years of experience managing a company’s social media pages, including content calendar, creation, responding and analytics. 

Experience:

• Ability to work well independently – requires self-motivation but also works collaboratively in a creative and positive environment.


• Positive team player and problem solver with the ability to act and react professionally while under pressure.


• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly.  


• Highly proficient with video and photography editing software.


• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage projects, delegate, and prioritize effectively.


• Problem solving and strategic thinking skills.


• Flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic environment.


• May have to occasionally cover events that are held during the evening or during the weekend.


• Will have to be able to drive to different locations around Central Florida.
