Position Details:

Role: Senior VMWare Engineer

Location: Frisco, TX / Charlotte, NC Fort Mill, SC, Chesterbrook, PA

Duration: 03 – 06 Months Contract to Hire

·         vREALIZE Automation Required, SRM, Vsphere, ESX, CISCO UCS

Job Description:

·         Individuals in the Virtualization Engineering role are responsible for executing the strategy set by architecture. They are responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, maintaining and optimizing the virtual infrastructure in accordance with security policies and guidelines. Virtual Engineers typically spans: Cisco UCS, ESXi, SRM, vRealize, client technology and storage systems. Additional functions and processes include service and product management, performance and capacity management, patching and version management, and Level 3 operations support.

·         Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

·         Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant technology work experience.

·         Requires 3-5 years of VMware ESXi, vSphere, SRM, vRealize Operations, Cisco UCS, Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Clustering, Active Directory, Linux Operating Systems.

·         Relevant certification is required.

·         Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products.

Minimum skills, knowledge and ability requirements:

·         VMware vRealize Automation and Orchestrator is a plus

·         EMC San Technologies, VMAX, VNX, SRM, Viper is a plus

·         Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline

·         Good analytical and problem solving skills

·         Good interpersonal skills; effective team player

·         Good analytical skills with attention to detail

·         Good presentation skills

·         Ability to prioritize work load

·         Understanding of ITSM
