This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\n1\\. Design Review and Criteria\n\n\u2022 Evaluate and review designs\u2014such as those from Bechtel\u2014ensuring they meet engineering standards and local code requirements.\n\n\u2022 Analyze structural elements, geotechnical factors, and material specifications to ensure safety and compliance.\n\n\u2022 Use their specialized training in subjects like structural analysis and environmental considerations to provide a critical technical perspective.\n\n2\\. Construction Management\n\n\u2022 Act as a central point in coordinating both design and construction activities, ensuring that plans are seamlessly translated into actual on-site work.\n\n\u2022 Maintain constant communication with subcontractors who execute design and construction tasks. This coordination is key for gathering real-time project status reports and accurate progress updates.\n\n\u2022 Oversight of field construction activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, safety regulations, and quality standards.\n\n3\\. Project Planning and Documentation\n\n\u2022 Develop detailed project plans that incorporate field submittals along with schedule, cost, and risk assessments.\n\n\u2022 Track all field documentation, including construction submittals, changes, and real-time data about project costs and potential risks.\n\n\u2022 Ensure that the project timeline, budget, and scope are continuously aligned by monitoring progress and mitigating risks early in the process.\n\n4\\. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n\u2022 Principal Industrial Engineer: 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 Years of relevant experience with PhD; 4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\n\u2022 Sr Principal Industrial Engineer8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 Years of relevant experience with PhD; 4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\nRequired for both levels:\n\n\u2022 Must have a U.S. Government DoD Interim Secret security clearance prior to start, and the ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance post-start\n\n\u2022 Ability to read and understand technical drawings\n\n\u2022 Supplier and DoD contracting familiarity\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n\u2022 Previous experience in production for a military program\n\n\u2022 Previous experience on EMD projects\n\n\u2022 Prior experience with Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM)\n\n\u2022 Experience with Siemens NX tools, Model based engineering, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).\n\n\u2022 Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages and other electronic databases.\n\n\u2022 Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.\n\n\u2022 Demonstrated Project Management experience.\n\n\u2022 Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation.\n\n\u2022 Government Coordination and Comfortability to communicate with Senior leaders\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
