Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems Division is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be in Roy, UT and supporting the Sentinel Program.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\nThe successful candidate will support the team across the full systems-engineering life cycle, from use-case development through verification. You will collaborate closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) counterparts to produce rigorous systems-engineering and design artifacts, working with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature a Weapon System design for a large-scale program. Your responsibilities will include defining, allocating, and tracing requirements; ensuring those requirements are accurately represented in the system model; performing functional decomposition and interface definition; and supporting verification activities.\n\nIn addition, you will develop the system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, modeling behavioral, structural, and analytical aspects of the solution. You will contribute to ongoing requirements development, management, and analysis while establishing unifying modeling techniques, procedures, and processes that enable seamless model development, tool integration, and team collaboration.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nThis requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Sr Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04).\n\n * Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience, 3 years with Masters, 1 year with PhD.\n * Sr Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of related experience, 6 years with Masters, 4 years with PhD.\n * Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.\n * Must have Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with Agile.\n * Experience leading SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR).\n * Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.\n * Experience resolving issues and providing technical support.\n * Capable of working with minimal direction and in team environments.\n * Familiar with Teamcenter/Common Product Lifecyle Management (CPLM).\n * Familiar with SE events (e.g., Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR)).\n * 2+ years\u2019 experience in Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) (Minuteman III (MMIII) or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems.\n * 2+ years\u2019 experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering (SE) process governance documentation in a Department of Defense (DoD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.\n * 2+ years\u2019 experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).\n * 2+ years\u2019 experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production.\n * 2+ years\u2019 experience in creating, updating, and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products.\n * 3+ years\u2019 experience with Systems Engineering (SE) principles.\n * 3+ years\u2019 experience with requirements development.\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n * 401k \n * Educational Assistance \n * Life Insurance \n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n * Paid Time Off \n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n * Employee Discounts \n\n\n\nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\n#Sentinelsystems\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
