$30.80 per hour | Full-time 

Responsible for the custody and discipline of detainees in the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

What you will do 

• Assign work schedules, protect, instruct, train, counsel and provide feedback for evaluation of assigned employees.


• Responsible for the care, custody, and adherence to rules and regulations of detainees assigned to specific work area.


• Supervise and direct searches for contraband and provide security. Required to perform “pat” and “strip searches” by squatting and bending to perform such functions as needed. Required to climb ladders or stairs in search of contraband.


• Supervise and provide custody and security of detainees including observation of detainees and detainees assigned to work duty which includes long periods of sitting and standing.


• Required to make rounds of the facility which requires long periods of walking.


• Read, review and properly apply information found in detainee’s records which is related to the detainee’s health and safety and to the security of the facility. Provide appropriate information to other personnel.


• Supervise the preparation and maintenance of records, forms and reports.


• Perform specific duties if assigned to the following areas: unit, special housing unit, security threat groups, intake, and transportation.


• May be assigned to housing, RHU, intake, or transportation.


• Must be able to work rotating shifts and work all post assignments.

What you will need 

• High school diploma or GED, minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an adult correctional or detention facility environment or related field


• At least 21 years of age and a US Citizen or Lawful US Permanent Resident required.


• Must successfully complete required preservice training.


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
