Server

As a Server at Plaza Provisions, you will be the face of our hospitality, delivering exceptional table service in our vibrant food hall setting. You’ll guide guests through our menu, provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverages, and create an engaging, welcoming experience that keeps guests coming back. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for great food, beverages, and guest service.

Location: Plaza Provisions – Country Club Plaza, Kansas City, MO

Reports to: Lead Server / Director of Outlets

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring a welcoming first impression. 
• Present menus, explain offerings from multiple vendor kitchens, and make personalized recommendations. 
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Toast POS system and relay to appropriate service areas. 
• Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring correct presentation and temperature. 
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including menu changes, specials, and vendor offerings. 
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and responding promptly to requests or concerns. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and the dining area. 
• Process payments accurately, handle cash responsibly, and follow closing procedures. 
• Uphold Plaza Provisions’ hospitality standards and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment. 
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. 

Qualifications:

• Previous serving experience in a restaurant, hotel, or upscale casual dining environment preferred. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. 
• Knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage offerings preferred. 
• Must be 18 years or older; must possess or obtain required local/state serving permits. 
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods. 
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. 

Compensation:

• $10/hour for AM shifts + tips 
• $7/hour for PM / Dinner shifts + tips 
• Additional earning potential through tips
