The Organization

Rhubarb is a chef-driven, farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of downtown Asheville serving modern Appalachian cuisine with genuine hospitality. What does that mean? That at Rhubarb, we believe in people-first hospitality from our employees to our farm partners to our guests. We are hiring a Support (aka Server Assistant), but the person will always come before the role.

The Person 

You may recognize the term Server Assistant but at Rhubarb we call this role "Support" because that it was you do: support service! As a Support at Rhubarb, you love to be on the go-go-go! You enjoy variety in your environment -- meeting new people, performing different tasks. You like good food, helping people, and/or getting your steps in. You are comfortable with both being and thinking on your feet.

The Role

• Review menu changes before beginning each service
• Learn table and seat numbers to ensure accurate delivery of food and beverage
• Prioritize the needs of guest
• Clear, sanitize and reset tables in the dining room
• Polish glass-, silver-, and plate-ware to keep service flowing smoothly
• Assist servers with specific tasks like coffee service, when able
• Communicate table statuses with the FOH team of managers and hosts
