Position Summary
- The Server Assistant (Runner/Busser) supports the Service team by helping maintain an organized, welcoming dining room and smooth service throughout each shift. This role assists with beverage service, food delivery, table clearing, and end-of-day cleaning while working closely with servers and kitchen team members to ensure guests are well cared for.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and contribute to a positive dining room atmosphere.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables accurately and efficiently.
- Clear, reset, and maintain tables to support steady dining room flow.
- Assist with beverage service, including refilling water and other non-alcoholic beverages as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, wait stations, and service areas.
- Stock and maintain server stations with glassware, utensils, linens, and other necessary supplies.
- Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen team members to support coordinated service.
- Remain attentive to guest needs and communicate questions or concerns to leadership when appropriate.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including end-of-day cleaning and resetting of dining areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards at all times.
- Support overall Food & Beverage operations by assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old by the first day of employment.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
- Clear and respectful communication skills.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to take direction.
- Ability to stay organized and responsive during busy service periods.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
- Positive attitude with a professional demeanor.
