Automotive Service Advisor

Pugmire Ford of Carrollton is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our Service Department.
The Service Advisor is the primary point of contact between our customers and service technicians. This position requires strong communication, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a fast-paced dealership environment.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively, and understands that providing an excellent customer experience requires accuracy, urgency, and consistent follow-up from write-up through vehicle delivery.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally and assist with their service needs
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document all requested services and vehicle concerns
- Review recommended maintenance and repair needs with customers
- Prepare and clearly explain repair estimates
- Obtain proper customer authorization before repairs are performed
- Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status, pricing, delays, and estimated completion times
- Respond to customer calls, messages, and follow-up needs promptly
- Work closely with technicians and Service Department leadership to keep repair orders moving efficiently
- Monitor assigned repair orders and take ownership of them from write-up through completion
- Review completed repair orders for accuracy before customer delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the repair process
- Meet dealership expectations for customer satisfaction and CSI performance
- Follow established dealership processes and procedures
- Build long-term customer relationships through professional, honest, and dependable service
Qualifications
- Previous automotive Service Advisor experience preferred
- Ford dealership experience is a plus
- Strong customer service and professional communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a high-volume service environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable discussing maintenance recommendations, repairs, estimates, and pricing with customers
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, management, and other dealership departments
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Dependable, motivated, accountable, and team-oriented
