Service Advisor Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction
- Greet customers and listen to their service concerns.
- Explain maintenance and repair options clearly.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines.
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Service Coordination
- Create and manage repair orders.
- Schedule service appointments.
- Communicate with technicians about diagnostics and repairs.
- Sales & Recommendations
- Recommend additional maintenance services when needed.
- Sales of additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, etc.
- Progress Updates
- Keep customers informed about service status and delays.
- Obtain approval for additional repairs if needed.
- Billing & Documentation
- Prepare invoices and explain charges.
- Process payments and finalize paperwork.
- Maintain service records in dealership or shop systems.
- Customer Satisfaction
- Resolve complaints or service issues.
- Ensure customers leave satisfied and likely to return.
Service Advisor Requirements:
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
- Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant, preferred
- Very energetic personality
- A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
- Personal and professional integrity
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- High level Communication skills
- Sales experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- High school diploma or equivalent
