Service Center Director

Essential Job Functions

• Develop and drive a menu of shared services through standardizing, automating, and optimize processes in support of the network strategy.


• Lead service center performance by monitoring performance of the team against defined performance & quality standards, providing KPI reporting, and executing regular business reviews.


• Identify problem areas in service delivery processes and efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions.


• Collaborate with the network to maximize adoption and utilization


• Develop and manage SSC resources to have the capability and capacity to execute the services.


• Provide financial stewardship by managing SSC costs and reporting value creation.


• Serve as escalation point of contact for all concerns between the network and the SSC. 

Physical Requirements

• Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.


• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment


• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

• Superior complex process development skills including the ability to design and deploy.


• Advanced skills with performance management, statistics, and other analytical techniques and tools.


• Proficient in leading matrix teams.


• Experienced in all areas of transportation, logistics and supply chain operations.

• Analyzes complex problems and develop alternative solutions.


• Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.


• Uses appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team and facilitate the completion of team goals.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. 


• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.


• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. 


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.


• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics and Transporation preferred.


• 12+ years logistics industry experience


• 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience. Remote team management preferred.


• 3+ years in leading continuous improvement projects with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
