The Service Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, assembly, and testing of Riverhawk mechanical equipment both at our New Hartford, NY facility and at customer sites. This individual is comfortable working in a dynamic environment that includes troubleshooting equipment and providing on-site service and support to customers. Travel is a required and essential part of this position, including both domestic and international trips. Individuals must be willing and able to travel, occasionally on short notice, and must be able to represent Riverhawk in a professional and knowledgeable manner while working with customer teams in the field.
What You'll Do:
Diagnose, repair, and test mechanical products returned from customers
Assemble and test new Riverhawk mechanical equipment at the factory
Report and follow up on identified issues with Riverhawk products
Travel to customer sites to support Riverhawk products
Perform field repairs on damaged mechanical products
Oversee customer personnel during installation of Riverhawk equipment.
Work closely with others
Abide by safety guidelines set forth by OSHA, DEC, customer requirements, and Riverhawk Company
Employee will perform other duties as assigned
What We Need:
The ability to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment
A minimum of three to five years in a related role (internally or externally)
Very strong mechanical aptitude
Very strong communication skills and be able to represent Riverhawk in a professional manner
Basic computer skills; proficiency is a plus
The ability to pass security requirements for access to customer sites
A willingness and ability to travel both internationally and domestically approximately 10-20% of the time, and must have or be capable of obtaining a valid passport
The ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
The ability to climb ladders
A general understanding of ISO 9001 and the Riverhawk Quality Policy
What You Get:
Pay range - $23.00-26.00/hr (please note that this range may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skills, and education as they relate to the position's qualifications.)
Additional travel pay for overnight trips
96 hours of PTO and an additional 56 hours of paid sick leave annually for new hires, with additional PTO added after five years of service
