Service Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining orchard wind machines used for frost protection in the agricultural industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on wind machines.
• Repair and replace damaged parts, motors, and electrical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on wind machines.
• Communicate with orchard owners and management regarding repair and maintenance needs.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work completed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment. 
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Education and Experience:

• Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to tolerate working in various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, wind, rain, and snow.
