Shift Supervisor

Required Qualifications

•  A college degree is preferred


• Prior experience working in Manufacturing


• Communicate effectively both verbally and written


• Prior supervisory experience preferred

Some Responsibilities Include: 

1. Attend all shift change meetings in a timely manner.


2. Complete required production reports.


3. Supervise all production employees to ensure that all quality and production standards are maintained.


4. Promote positive employee relations by motivating, training, evaluating and communicating with employees.


5. Ensure that production areas are free from hazards and employees are working safely.


6. Attend priority meetings prior to and after the shift change to discuss schedule changes, “down” equipment, quality issues and other miscellaneous items.


7. Communicate with employees regarding job assignments, specific problems encountered on prior shift(s), quality and safety issues and general business events.


8. Meet with Material Handlers when Material Supervisor is unavailable to review material and mix rations and address issues of concern.
