Position Summary 

Ensure timely and accurate movement of materials to support production and shipping operations while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Outcomes/Responsibilities

Outcome: Deliver Accurate and Timely Shipments

Actions:

  • Achieve 94% or higher accuracy in order fulfillment by consistently picking, packing, and preparing outbound shipments according to specification. 
  • Ensure all shipments are labeled correctly and meet DOT, OSHA, and hazardous material shipping regulations. 
  • Meet 100% of the required shipping deadlines to maintain customer satisfaction. 

 

Outcome: Ensure Compliance & Workplace Safety

Actions:

  • Maintain zero preventable safety incidents by strictly adhering to hazardous material handling procedures and PPE usage.
  • Support 6S goals through reviewing weekly audits, applying corrective/preventative action(s), and routine housekeeping. 
  • Conduct thorough inspections to confirm all shipments comply with regulatory requirements, including documentation and labeling.
  • Immediately report and address any safety concerns or regulatory violations
  • Properly manage chemical spills by following SDS guidelines and company protocols.
  • Complete assigned computer-based safety training by due date

 

Outcome: Maintain Warehouse Inventory Accuracy

 Actions:

  • Contribute to 98% or higher inventory accuracy by properly recording product movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). 
  • Support continuous inventory control through cycle counts and participation in annual physical audits.
  • Organize warehouse space effectively to promote efficient operations and reduce waste.  

 

Outcome: Maximize Equipment Efficiency and Maintenance

Actions:

  • Ensure safe and proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to meet performance standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and promptly report malfunctions to minimize downtime. 
  • Follow maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and support uninterrupted operations.

 

Outcome: Foster Collaboration and Drive Process Improvements 

Actions:

 

  • Strengthen teamwork by coordinating with warehouse associates, customer service, quality control, inventory planning, and logistics teams to optimize shipping processes.  
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing errors.

 

Outcome: Safe and Efficient Trailer Movement

Actions:

 

  • Moves trailers between dock doors, tank loading stations, and designated yard spots according to production and shipping schedules/needs.
  • Maintains constant awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic to prevent incidents.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Job Experience: 2-3 years
  • Proficiency in shipping and receiving procedures, including hazardous material handling
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment. 
  • Forklift certification or ability to operate equipment 
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management, shipping documentation, and communication
