Shipping and Receiving

**About This Role**

Direct Startnseeks a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage our clients incoming and outgoing materials while ensuring compliance with our Quality Management System. You'll work directly with the Quality Manager, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to maintain accurate inventory, verify part quality, and support timely shipments.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Receiving**

Set up and maintain incoming material files and documentation

Unload and inspect materials from trucks for damage

Verify parts against purchase orders, prints, and supplier documentation

Tag materials per QMS procedures and store in designated locations

Log receipt times and storage locations in the computer system

Coordinate with QA, Engineering, or Purchasing when documentation is incomplete or delayed

**Shipping**

Coordinate with manufacturing to pull, package, and prepare orders for shipment

Arrange freight and manage custom packaging requests

Verify shipping paperwork accuracy and completeness

Photograph and file outgoing loads for record-keeping

Maintain inventory of packing supplies

**Inspection**

Perform and document quality checks as directed by QMS procedures

Inspect for shipping damage and verify part condition against drawings and POs

Accept or reject parts based on inspection results

Record findings on Bills of Lading and shipping documentation

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel)

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Visual weld inspection knowledge is a plus

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin

Salary: $18–$21/hour
