Shipping & Receiving Specialist

As a Shipping & Receiving Specialist at Boston Dynamics, you will join our Logistics Operations team to coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations in Waltham, MA where we develop the world’s most advanced robots. Every day, you will work closely with our Logistics, Fulfillment and Purchasing teams to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensure all outbound shipments occur in a timely manner with no damage and receive all inbound pallets and packages at our facility. To thrive in this role, you must always be on the lookout for opportunities to improve our shipping and receiving processes, work with other team members to implement improvements and have excellent communication skills with a team first mentality. 

Day to day activities: 

• Review packing lists for accuracy and receive deliveries into our ERP system.

• Distribute packages and pallets to the appropriate location in the facilities as required.

• Record and notify the appropriate parties when damaged or incorrect shipments are delivered to our dock.

• Work closely with the Fulfillment to ensure outbound shipments are packaged and palletized correctly to ensure they deliver to our customers in a timely manner. 

• Accurately fill out all shipping paperwork/labels required for each shipment.

• Conduct inventory transactions in our ERP system as needed. 

• Regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.

• Perform shipping / receiving functions accurately in a high-volume fast-paced environment.

Desired skills:

• 1-3 years shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with ERP systems.

• Experience with material handling equipment (fork lift, walkie stacker, pallet jacks)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

• Dangerous Goods Certification (Air, Ground, & Ocean) preferred but not required.

• Drivers license in good standing. Ability to drive company vans and safely park at loading dock. 
   

The pay range for this position is between $27.50 to $32.36 hourly. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Boston Dynamics offers a generous Benefits package including medical, dental vision, 401(k), paid time off and a annual bonus structure.
