JOB DETAILS
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for executing all shipping and receiving activities in support of KAE Supply Chain operations. This role ensures hazardous and nonâhazardous materials are received, handled, stored, and shipped safely, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and quality standards. The position coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, prepares required documentation, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports warehouse organization while interacting regularly with internal departments to meet operational needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, process, and maintain all shipping and receiving documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and traceability.
Package, label, and ship hazardous and nonâhazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
Schedule and coordinate freight and smallâparcel shipments, including managing carrier pickups and deliveries.
Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and related shipping documents for outbound freight shipments.
Receive inbound shipments using established checklists to verify quantity, condition, documentation, and quality requirements.
Verify packing slips, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and raw material certifications for completeness and accuracy.
Perform inventory management activities including cycle counting, labeling, stocking, sampling, and maintaining accurate warehouse locations.
Pick, stage, and issue materials in accordance with First Expire, First Out (FEFO) requirements.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment daily, both indoors and outdoors, to move materials and products; periodic lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment through routine housekeeping and adherence to 5S practices.
Utilize SAP and other computer systems to process receipts, ship materials, and communicate with internal teams via email and Microsoft Teams.
Adhere to company policies, safety requirements, and applicable quality standards, including AS9100.
Interact daily with supply chain, program management, engineering, and manufacturing personnel to support business operations.
