Job Summary: The Shipping Coordinator will assist the warehouse in the daily operations by handling all aspects of shipping clients’ orders. The ideal candidate is proficient in general warehousing functions, tech savvy, has good communication skills, and is a self-starter.
Essential Functions:
Review and distribute sales orders (pick tickets) and credit management releases to warehouse personnel (Order Pickers)
Work with Sales and Accounting departments regarding orders and status of shipments
Reviews Open Order Report daily to review stock and process shipments accordingly
Move orders through the work process from initiation to completion – review sales orders, initiate picking process, close out by processing invoices, ship LTL/Freight shipments both domestically and internationally (Canada)
Utilize Microsoft Office Programs for product paperwork, product requests, reports and researching information/stock/inventory. (i.e. Excel and Outlook)
Respond to internal requests and questions promptly and courteously
Follow-up and follow-through with specific requests (i.e., product requests, researching information, etc.)
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments regarding shipping needs
Issue priority items immediately upon availability
Review pending orders and follow up to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner
Learn and utilize D365 (ERP), PaceJet, and Tracelink
Respond to internal requests regarding stock inquiries
Look up/locate items
Enter orders, track serial numbers and shipments
Perform Inventory Control Functions:
Process inventory in the warehouse/MRP system accurately to open orders
Monitor and analyze inventory to ensure products are allocated to open orders
Perform general warehousing functions as needed:
Assist in coordinating inventory pull, label and packing of customer orders and store in labeled location prepared for shipment
Research and resolve issues or problems as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ warehouse and shipping operations experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with MS Office (especially outlook and excel)
ERP/MRP systems experience
Ability to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrated mathematical ability
Organized and ability to multi-task
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timetables
Deadline driven
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or completion of GED equivalent

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; and lift/move up to 50 lbs. continuously on a daily basis. In addition, must be able to maneuver and move 30 to 55-gallon drums or up to 450 pounds utilizing the proper drum material handling equipment provided.
Work Environment: This position requires one to work both in an office environment and warehouse. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust and dirt. Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals. Employee will be exposed to varying temperatures.
