Shipping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate shipment of products.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to organize and prepare orders for shipping.
• Manage and train shipping team members to maintain high performance and safety standards.
• Monitor shipping schedules and adjust plans as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
• Liaise with carriers, freight companies, and vendors to negotiate shipping rates and services.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and generate reports on shipment statuses and performance metrics.
• Identify and resolve shipping-related issues, including delays, damages, and discrepancies.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce shipping costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Shipping Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within logistics or warehouse environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, carrier regulations, and inventory management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in using shipping software, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in any field required; (logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred)
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards relevant to shipping and transportation.
