Shipping/Receiving

JOB SUMMARY

Packaging product for shipment to customers. Counting and placing product on the finished goods shelves. Entering shipment information onto shipping notifications and emailing documents to accounting. Verifying packing lists and material certs for accuracy. Overseeing incoming items and checking them for accuracy. Unloading products from delivery trucks and checking the product in. Working as a valued team member of JDS. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Packaging 
• Standard Shipping & Receiving knowledge
• Ability to Multi-Task and a Sense of Urgency is a Must
• Unload all incoming trucks
•  Check product against packing list and receiving log for accuracy 
•  Must be able to obtain or have a forklift license
•   Deliver product to location around the plants 
•  Must have a valid driver license 
•  Other duties as assigned 

Experience/Education Requirements: 

• Experience in shipping/receiving a must
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Programs: Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word; QuickBooks business software.
• Mathematics – knowledge of arithmetic and statistics including their applications in a business environment 
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing so others will understand.

Physical Requirements: 

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, kneel, crouch and walk about the production facility 
• Regularly lifts and/or move up to 40 lbs and occasionally must lift and/or move up
  to 50 lbs
