Shop Foreman

Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco is seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead our automotive service team. In this role, you will oversee daily shop operations, ensure high-quality vehicle repairs, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. You will collaborate closely with technicians, service advisors, and management to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold the prestigious Mercedes-Benz brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor the service and repair team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality work.


• Coordinate scheduling and assignments to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.


• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and shop policies.


• Work closely with service advisors to communicate repair status, parts orders, and any technical issues.


• Evaluate technician performance and provide ongoing training and development.


• Manage shop inventory and tools to guarantee availability and proper maintenance.


• Handle customer concerns related to shop operations with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach.


• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and warranty requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or similar supervisory role in an automotive service environment, preferably with luxury vehicles.


• Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures, diagnostics, and tools.


• Excellent leadership and team management skills.


• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Familiarity with Mercedes-Benz vehicles and service standards is a plus.


• Relevant certifications and training related to automotive repair and safety.
