Shop Mechanic

​ Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for a Full-Time Forklift Mechanic at our location at 3510 Miller Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49001-4152. This technician will work full-time in our shop, performing repairs on a variety of industrial equipment, with an emphasis on forklifts. 

Morrison Industrial Equipment has a strict drug-free policy, and all employees will need to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, background and driving record check. Employees are also subject to random drug screenings. 

This team member works Monday-Friday, first shift hours, and works 40 hours a week with opportunity for overtime. 

Our Mechanics Typically:  

• Have Good Customer Relations Skills with Clear and Concise Language Skills 

• Have 3+ Years of Mechanical Repair Experience 

• Ability to lift 50 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions 

• Utilize Technology such as a Laptop or Tablet 

• Have a Valid Driver’s License in Good Standing 

Essential Functions:  

• Perform Equipment Modifications 

• Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner 

• Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily 

• Comply with all Safety Procedures within Morrison’s Guidelines 

• Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled 

• Perform any Other Duties as Assigned 

Once hired, technicians will automatically be enrolled into our training program. The program and trainings are completely paid for and offer classroom training, hands-on/job shadow training, e-learning, and mentoring.
