OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Shop Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance and safety inspections on company vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. This position works primarily out of the shop, with occasional travel to company properties and job sites throughout the Central Valley (Sacramento to Bakersfield) for on-site repairs; occasional overnight stays may be required. Work is performed regularly outdoors and in all weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a shop and outdoor environment, with temperatures varying seasonally. Equipment used includes hand tools, power and impact tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery. This position involves occasional travel to company properties and job sites throughout the Central Valley.
COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION
This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position with a pay range of $30.00–$35.00 per hour, eligible for overtime in accordance with California law. Meal and rest periods are provided in accordance with California law. This position has purchasing authority as assigned and no supervisory responsibility. Benefit eligibility is determined by hours worked and company policy.
