Job Description - Show Jumping Trainer - San Gregorio, CA

A San Gregorio, CA-based farm is seeking an experienced Show Jumping Trainer to join their team on a full-time basis. This position will work closely with a team of trainers to train and develop young show jumping horses, focusing on daily riding, fitness, and competition preparation. This is not a horse showing position; the role centers on training and developing horses at the home barn rather than competing or traveling to horse shows. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience working with horses, including significant experience training young show jumpers and successfully competing at 1.35m and above. The ability to ride 4–6 young horses daily, strong knowledge of flatwork, jumping, distances, and gridwork, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. Compensation is $32–$38/hour, with full-time benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, fuel benefits, cell phone reimbursement, and a generous housing stipend.
