Showroom Associate (Design District)

Status: Full-Time

Pay: $20 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5:15pm

Scout Design Studio is seeking an energetic, polished, and detail-oriented full-time Showroom Associate to join our Monday–Friday team. This hands-on role supports the presentation, organization, and day-to-day operation of our showroom while helping create a seamless, high-touch client experience.

From carefully preparing client purchases and assisting with pickups to maintaining an impeccably styled showroom and moving merchandise between the showroom and warehouse, you will play an essential role in our daily operations.

This is an active, physically demanding position where moving furniture and merchandise is a significant part of the job. The ideal candidate enjoys working with beautiful furniture and interiors and takes pride in keeping the showroom organized, presentable, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Experience & Fulfillment

• Carefully wrap, package, and prepare furniture, artwork, accessories, and home décor for customer pickup.
• Assist clients with safely loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently and move items to designated staging areas.
• Assist with preparing and staging merchandise for customer pickup.
• Maintain a polished and helpful presence when interacting with clients.

Showroom Presentation & Operations

• Maintain a pristine, visually compelling showroom that reflects Scout Design Studio’s aesthetic and brand standards.
• Move, position,      and arrange furniture and accessories throughout the showroom.
• Assist with showroom resets, furniture rearrangement, and artwork installation.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and client-ready.
• Maintain the showroom floor by sweeping, breaking down boxes, removing debris, and keeping inventory neat and organized.
• Assist with general showroom maintenance and physical projects as assigned.

Furniture & Inventory

• Transfer furniture, artwork, accessories, and other inventory between the showroom and warehouse.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact when moving inventory between locations.
• Assist with receiving, staging, loading, and unloading merchandise.
• Safely lift, carry, maneuver, and position furniture throughout the showroom, warehouse, staging areas, and loading areas.
• Help organize and maintain inventory in both showroom and warehouse spaces.
• Support general warehouse tasks and special projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable with:

• Lifting and carrying furniture and merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Moving and repositioning furniture throughout the showroom and warehouse.
• Repeatedly bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Loading and unloading merchandise.
• Transferring inventory between the showroom, warehouse, staging areas, and customer vehicles.
• Working safely and efficiently in loading, storage, and warehouse areas.

• Previous experience in luxury retail, furniture, interiors, hospitality, visual merchandising, warehouse operations, or showroom environments is a plus.

Education, Experience, & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Clear background check, driving history, and drug test are required for this role.
• Valid drivers license required
