Summary: Leads field crews and day-to-day site operations for industrial and commercial properties, as contracted or instructed. Directs snow and ice management in winter and grounds maintenance and landscaping the rest of the year, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to customer standards.
Essential Functions:
· Lead, schedule, and supervise equipment operators, shovelers, and seasonal crews on industrial and commercial properties
· Plan and direct snow and ice operations, including pre-storm preparation, plowing, salting, and post-storm cleanup
· Monitor weather forecasts and mobilize crews and equipment so customer sites are open and safe on time
· Lead grounds maintenance and landscaping work during the off-season, including mowing, trimming, mulching, and site cleanups
· Operate plow trucks, skid loaders, end loaders, mowers, and other equipment as needed
· Inspect sites before and after service to confirm work quality and document conditions with photos
· Oversee equipment inspections, maintenance schedules, and repairs, and keep materials such as salt stocked
· Serve as the on-site point of contact for property and facility managers and resolve service concerns
· Track crew hours, completed sites, and materials used, and report to the office for billing
· Investigate and document property damage, injuries, and near misses, and report them immediately
· Coordinate with subcontractors as paving and tree services are added
· Enforce safety procedures and PPE use, lead safety talks, and adhere to the business management system (BMS), as applicable
· Assist with any other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Train new and seasonal employees on equipment, routes, site standards, and safety practices
· Assign routes and daily work, and adjust crews as conditions change
· Provide feedback, coaching, and input on hiring, performance, and discipline
· Recommend improvements to equipment, routes, and processes as the business grows
Schedule & Availability:
· Full-time, year-round position
· On call throughout the snow season, approximately [November through April], including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Must be able to report within [60 minutes] of a call-out and stay through storm cleanup
· Regular daytime schedule during the grounds season, with occasional extended days
Basic Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience in commercial snow removal, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
· 1+ year of experience leading a crew or supervising others
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements
· Experience operating plow trucks, skid loaders, end loaders, and commercial mowers
· Working knowledge of de-icing materials and safe snow management practices
· Strong written/verbal communication skills, including working directly with commercial customers
· Basic computer and smartphone skills for scheduling, tracking, and photo documentation
· Physical ability to shovel snow for up to several hours continuously

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with industrial facilities, distribution centers, or large commercial lots
